Quick slag analysis without sample preparation

Slag chemistry plays an important role in the production and treatment of steel. It is a powerful parameter for achieving optimal steelmaking processes, in particular, in basic oxygen (BOF) or electric arc furnaces (EAF), in ladle furnaces and in vacuum treatment plants. The slagLIBS analysis system reduces the time needed for preparing and analyzing slag samples to less than two minutes. Processes can be much more effectively controlled due to the system’s capability of making slag analysis data available much faster than before.
