Regenerative burner systems for batch furnaces in the steel industry

Regenerative burner systems are applied more and more in batch furnaces in the steel industry.They allow the furnace operation with very low energy consumption and the reduction of CO2 and NOx emissions. The systems are well proven in the industry with high velocity and flat flame burners installed in side walls or in the roof of furnaces. Because of high energy savings it is possible to achieve short amortization times, particularly for the installations in new furnaces.
