Energy efficiency and global quality standards increasingly define the design requirements of a heat treatment plant are more and more responsible for the creation and modification of plant-concepts for Heat Treatment. This article presents new solutions from Invensys Eurotherm using a range of thyristor units fitted, not only with energy-management systems to optimize quality of control, recording and traceability, but with industrial Ethernet communications which allows bus systems from different manufactures to be used easily together. Together these help to meet statutory requirements, industrial standards and customer requests.
